Electricity

Oil

Electricity is an important source of power for industries in a country and an essential necessity in our life. While failure to maintain balance between power production and consumption lies behind the endemic power shortages in many developing countries, “building a stable electrical power infrastructure” in such country remains top priority for its industrial development. To that end, the developing countries’ government is pushing multiple power projects as a part of their endeavor for power generation, transmission and distribution.

In many developing countries, We are promoting establishment of power infrastructure through gas-to-power projects, combined cycle power projects, and other power projects fueled by recovered gasses. In addition, we strive to efficiently operate and to ensure a stable power supply through O&M projects and plant rehabilitation projects.

IPP Project

Making use of our project financing capability and experiences in power plant construction and O&M services, our IPP Projects supply stable electricity to developing countries and contribute to the nations energy and financial sectors.

① Gas Turbine Combined Cycle Power Plant Project

Gas-fueled GTCC power generation is one of the power generation method with the lowest emission levels of CO2, Sox, Nox, Hg, and Particulate Matter. In cooperation with major gas turbine manufacturers, KA group’s 3000MW IPP, 1400MW IPP Project aims to develop and operate an environmentally friendly combined cycle power plant with high-efficiency.

② Flare Gas-fueled Power Plant Project

KA Group’s Flare Gas-fueled Power Plant Project that recover flare gas from oil and gas fields provides a solution to generate electricity by using flare gas as a fuel. The advanced flare gas treatment facilities not only achieve comparative advantage in economics by maximizing oil resource use, but also contribute to the global environment by reducing pollutant emissions

Power Plant O&M Project

With respect to the power industry in many developing countries, the net generation has fallen short of expectation due to poor operation and management of power facilities, and the lack of local worker’s O&M skills has been increasing the demand for O&M Service. For power plants including thermal, gas, diesel, solar, wind and nuclear, KA Group’s Power Plant O&M Project offers comprehensive services ranging from engineering, procurement, construction to efficient operation and systematic management of plant facilities. Our EPC, O&M integrated solution finds the best solution to achieve reduction of maintenance cost and to improve power generating efficiency at the same time

Power Plant Rehabilitation Project

After the post-war suspension of power facility operations in Iraq, power-based facilities in northern Baghdad have also been destroyed by far-right Islamic groups in the 2010s. For countries that have experienced war and civil war like Iraq, infrastructure and plant are in desperate need of repair and restoration. The goal of KA Group’s 210MW Power Plant Rehabilitation Project is to return the local electricity supply to normal by restoring long-term suspendedㆍdamaged power plant. Beyond improving the generating efficiencyㆍeconomical efficiency of power plants and the reuse of power generating facilities, the restoration of old power plants is expected to bring significant ripple effects across the society and economy including creation of new local jobs
