The basic industrial technology in Iraq is far behind developed countries. In particular, hot parts and suction filters for power plant are mostly imported from abroad or must undergo months of transportation and regeneration & repair. To break this low-efficiency, high-cost structure and accumulate superior manufacturing technology, KA Group is working with the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity to build turbine parts refurbishment plant and filter manufacturing plant together with South Korean companies and manufacturers.
In addition, we are under a special project to supply Composite LPG Cylinders to eliminate the explosion risk inherent in existing Steel LPG Cylinders and to prevent manufacturing of homemade bombs. The plant construction project to manufacture Composite LPG Cylinders will enable the supply of more safer and more stronger household liquefied gas containers.
Turbine Parts Refurbishment Project
Used in power plants in operation, the power-generating gas turbine parts are under poor conditions such as heat exhaustion, cracks, corrosion, and burnout due to frequent start-ups and stops. Therefore, regular maintenance, repair, and regeneration of such parts are essential to extend the life of the facility and to maintain operation and power generation efficiency.
KA Group’s turbine parts refurbishment plant offers refurbishment, repair, production, and machining of rotary and hot parts used in gas turbine or steam turbine power plants. In particular, we are working with certified repairmen to provide professional repair and regeneration services for major gasㆍsteam turbines including that of GE, Siemens, and Alstom in Iraq to extend the life of power plant facilities, supply cost-effective turbine parts, and to provide stable power around the country.
Filter Manufacturing Project
KA Group’s Filter Manufacturing Plant is a factory capable of producing all types of air filters for all purposes including but not limited to industrial use and commercial use. The self-cleaning air filtration filter for gas turbine intake, a major product of our factory, is an essential component for gas turbines, generators and compressors to protect the blades and to improve operational performance.
Composite LPG Cylinder Manufacturing Project
Composite LPG Cylinders are designed as an alternative to Stainless Steel LPG Cylinders. Introducing a state-of-the-art technology with our technical partner, we are directing and organizing a pioneering project to build, own, and operate a Composite LPG Cylinder manufacturing plant and produce Composite LPG Cylinders made with high-performance polymer and composites. By domestic manufacturing and supplying quality Composite LPG Cylinders with high safety standards, we plan to meet the demand from both households and the industry.
